Publication: WCI published article in Global Heart

Over 10 years ago, World Children’s Initiative helped a 5 year old Ugandan girl to get a life saving heart procedure. This started Project Heart: Uganda where we partnered with the Ugandan Ministry of Health, Uganda Heart Institute , Mulago Hospital and multiple other NGOs to build a pediatric heart program in Kampala, Uganda.

Led by Dr. Ratnayaka, WCI co-founder, pediatric interventional cardiologist and friend, we trained their doctor, nurses and hospital staff to perform these life saving pediatric heart procedures.
